The 4WRH16W8-150-7X//V valve is manufactured by Bosch Rexroth and belongs to the WRZ Proportional Directional Valves series. Designed to position a spool precisely in hydraulic automation circuits, it fits a subplate drilled to ISO 4401-07-06-0-94 so installers can mount it without custom manifolds. Under a 10 bar pressure drop, it delivers a nominal flow of 150 l/min, while the main stage can pass up to 460 l/min when fully opened, allowing large actuator movements. The flow path withstands operating pressures up to 350 bar, supporting high-force cylinders. Ports a, b, p, and t share a 20 mm diameter, which aligns with the rated flow capacity and simplifies manifold machining. Spool positioning accuracy is held within 6 percent hysteresis, helping maintain repeatable motion profiles. The recommended hydraulic medium is mineral oil conforming to DIN 51524 HL or HLP classes, and FKM seals resist this fluid and elevated temperatures.


The valve uses an external pilot supply so the main circuit does not experience pressure loss during actuation. The pilot stage needs 5.5 l/min to shift the spool from zero to full stroke and displaces 4.6 cm³ of oil per full command, data that helps designers size pilot lines. Pilot circuits may be pressurized up to 25 bar, and port Y can tolerate 30 bar when routed separately, securing stable damping. If port T is connected to an external drain it can return oil at pressures as high as 250 bar, whereas an internal drain limits the return to 30 bar, giving flexibility for back-pressure management. The cleanliness requirement of ISO 4406 code 20/18/15 applies to the main flow path, preventing abrasive wear and maintaining proportional accuracy over long-term service.
