The hydraulic circuit must use mineral oil of type HL or HLP according to DIN 51524 so that elastomers and clearances remain compatible. Port Y may only see 30 bar, ensuring the pilot drain line can return oil without excess backpressure. Both pilot supply and pilot drain are external, giving the designer freedom to select a stable control pressure independent of main flow conditions. During a full stroke change the pilot stage passes 5.5 l/min and displaces 4.6 cm³, data required for sizing the upstream servo valve and accumulators and for predicting response time. A pilot pressure limit of 25 bar protects the main valve from uncontrolled spool forces and contributes to consistent proportional behavior across the operating range.
