The 4WRH16E100-7X/V proportional directional valve is produced by Bosch Rexroth within the WRZ Proportional Directional Valves series and is intended to meter flow and switch direction in hydraulic automation systems. Its size 16 envelope determines the mounting footprint, while the ISO 4401-07-06-0-94 interface lets the valve bolt directly to standardized subplates. A nominal flow of 100 l/min at a 10 bar differential accommodates medium-to-high throughput circuits, and a main stage pressure limit of 350 bar allows use in high-pressure manifolds. Each working port measures 20 mm to match common line diameters, and the valve is designed for mineral oil of the HL or HLP classes. FKM sealing elements provide resistance to heat and fluid additives encountered in industrial hydraulic fluids.
An external pilot oil supply and drain separate the control stage from main line fluctuations to improve stability. The main stage requires oil cleanliness of ISO 4406 20/18/15, while the pilot stage tightens this to 18/16/13 to keep the precision spool free of contaminants. Maximum hysteresis is limited to 6 percent so commanded positions track input current closely. Pilot drain pressure at port Y may reach 30 bar without affecting control, and the tank return at port T can accept back-pressure up to 250 bar. A pilot flow of 5.5 l/min moves the spool from 0 to 100 percent stroke, consuming 4.6 cm³ of oil for that travel. The pilot circuit tolerates pressures up to 25 bar, supplying adequate force to overcome friction and hydraulic loads during actuation.
