The valve works with mineral oil hydraulic fluids of the HL or HLP classes specified in DIN 51524, ensuring compatibility with common industrial power units. FKM seals are fitted to resist these fluids and to tolerate elevated temperatures. There is no manual override, so all spool shifts are commanded electrically for consistent proportional control. Both pilot supply and pilot drain are external, letting designers choose independent pilot circuits and avoid back pressure effects inside the main housing. The pilot pressure is limited to 25 bar to protect the control stage, while the drain port y may be loaded up to 30 bar without impairing function. The return port t can accept up to 250 bar, which supports circuits with downstream counterbalance or back-pressure valves.
