The 4WRH10W6-85-7X//V proportional directional valve belongs to the WRZ Proportional Directional Valves series and is manufactured by Bosch Rexroth. It meters flow and shifts actuator direction in hydraulic automation systems. A nominal flow of 85 l/min at a 10 bar differential allows predictable speed control, while a maximum main stage flow capacity of 170 l/min supports overload events. The valve handles system pressures up to 315 bar on the main ports, making it suitable for high-pressure circuits. Mineral oil fluids of the HL or HLP classes are specified, and the 11 mm port diameter across P, A, B, T, and T1 fits standard manifold passages. A center cross-section below 2 percent of nominal area limits leakage at the neutral position. The mounting interface follows ISO 4401-05-05-0-94, so it slides directly onto size 05 subplates without adapters.
An external pilot oil supply isolates the control stage from load-induced pressure, and an external pilot drain returns pilot flow to tank to prevent unwanted back pressure. The pilot circuit is rated for 25 bar, providing stable spool actuation without oversizing control components. Port Y withstands 30 bar so drainage lines can be routed through moderately loaded return manifolds. The return port tolerates 315 bar when an external drain is used, allowing closed-loop pressure control on the work ports. The hydraulic fluid supplied to the main stage must meet ISO 4406 class 20/18/15, whereas the pilot stage requires cleaner oil at class 18/16/13 to protect the finer control orifices. FKM seals are installed to maintain elasticity when exposed to mineral oil and elevated temperatures.
