The SYDFEN-2X/140R-PSD62N00-0000-AOROVXX control unit belongs to the SYD Hydraulic Control Systems series and is built by Bosch Rexroth for automated hydraulic motion. It employs integrated electronics (OBE) so the valve, sensors, and controller form one assembly that simplifies cabinet wiring. The module runs on a nominal 24 V DC supply and remains functional between 18 V DC and 36 V DC to tolerate common bus variations. A 4 A time-lag fuse must be installed externally to limit fault currents at start-up. Power draw does not exceed 40 W, keeping enclosure heat manageable in continuous service. The supply rail must stay within 2.5 Vpp residual ripple to prevent analog drift in the control loops. Command values enter through a 12-bit analog input, while process feedback is returned on a 10-bit analog output for consistent resolution between set-point and measured data. A PROFINET RT interface links the unit to PLC networks, bringing real-time fieldbus control to hydraulic axes.
The hydraulic section withstands operating pressures up to 280 bar so it can drive cylinders or motors that require high force. With a preload valve fitted, the circuit can operate down to 1 bar; when no preload valve is present the minimum pressure allowed is 20 bar, preventing cavitation in the pump. An IP65 enclosure protects the electronics against dust ingress and water jets, permitting installation on machinery frames without additional housing. The pump assembly remains within specification from 0 °C to 60 °C ambient temperature so it covers typical plant startup and full-load conditions. This combination of pressure capability, environmental sealing, and temperature tolerance enables the unit to regulate hydraulic actuators reliably in production lines and mobile equipment where harsh surroundings and fluctuating loads are common.
