The SF300A1-1-4X/ valve belongs to the SF Prefill Valves series manufactured by Bosch Rexroth for hydraulic automation that requires rapid tank filling and secured closure. It is defined as a pilot-operated check valve, which lets flow enter a cylinder during prefilling and then blocks reverse flow until a pilot signal is applied. The valve supports a maximum flow of 15 600 l/min at a differential pressure of 0.3 bar, so large volumes can move quickly at low resistance. A main poppet stroke of 63 mm permits this high flow while maintaining accurate seating. The unit is supplied with pre-decompression to limit pressure shocks when the poppet opens. A flange connection simplifies integration into large manifolds, and the body is fixed with 24 × M42 × 220 mounting screws. Each screw must be tightened to 4 500 Nm to hold the 625 kg assembly securely under load. The installation position can be chosen freely, which helps designers place the valve near the cylinder without extra brackets.
The hydraulic line on port A may be pressurized up to 16 bar, while ports B, X, and Y tolerate working pressures as high as 350 bar, letting the valve serve both low-pressure prefilling and high-pressure locking duties. Opening the poppet requires 687 cm³ of pilot oil delivered through port X, a volume that influences the response time of large systems. An unchecking ratio of 4.0 defines the relationship between pilot pressure and load pressure needed to release the poppet. The valve must be supplied with fluid meeting cleanliness class 20/18/15 per ISO 4406 to protect internal sealing surfaces. Acceptable hydraulic fluid temperatures range from −30 °C to +80 °C, so the same valve can function in cold start-ups and warm operating environments.
