The PP5/P1-13/1S/RV/H0/L0 power pack belongs to the Rexroth Power Packs series and is built by Bosch Rexroth. It combines a gear pump with an electric motor to supply actuators in compact hydraulic automation skids. The gear pump has a displacement of 0.15 in³ per revolution (2.45 cm³/rev), so each shaft turn moves a fixed volume of oil toward the circuit. Driven by a 1 hp (0.7 kW) motor rated at 1750 rpm, it can deliver a maximum flow of 1.1 GPM (4.15 L/min) for steady actuation of small cylinders or valves. The motor sits in a totally enclosed fan-cooled (TEFC) enclosure, model 143TC, which protects the windings from airborne oil mist while maintaining the required thermal margin. System pressure can rise to 1300 psi (90 bar), and a built-in relief valve with gauge limits the working pressure to protect downstream components. A pressure-line check valve prevents reverse flow when loads overrun or the motor coasts to a stop.
The hydraulic circuit is supplied from a 5 gal (19.0 L) steel reservoir that offers adequate oil volume to control temperature and reduce aeration during duty cycles. A -8 SAE drain port on the tank simplifies oil changes without disturbing mounted components. Oil cleanliness is maintained by a return filter rated at 20 µm absolute, ensuring particulate removal before fluid reenters the sump. A fluid level indicator with an integrated thermometer lets technicians verify oil quantity and temperature at a glance, supporting preventive maintenance. X1, X2, and X3 ports are sized at -6 SAE, -12 SAE, and -8 JIC respectively, providing defined interfaces for pressure, return, and auxiliary lines. These connection sizes speed installation and reduce adapter use. Together, the reservoir design, filtration, level monitoring, and port arrangement facilitate reliable operation of cylinders and valves driven by the power pack in automated machinery.
