The PP5/G2004/5BM1 POWER UNIT belongs to the Rexroth Power Packs series and is manufactured by Bosch Rexroth. It supplies pressurized oil for hydraulic actuation in compact automation systems. A G2-004 gear pump with a displacement of 0.24 in³/rev (3.93 cm³/rev) delivers up to 1.8 GPM (6.80 L/min) when driven at 1750 rpm. The pump is coupled to a 5 hp (3.7 kW) motor that operates on either 230 V or 460 V three-phase power at 60 Hz. The motor enclosure is TEFC so internal components remain protected from airborne contaminants. With a maximum system pressure of 2900 psi (200 bar), the power unit can support medium-pressure cylinders and motors without an auxiliary intensifier.
A D03 single-station bar manifold identified as BM1 provides the valve mounting face, and its A and B work ports are threaded for SAE-8 fittings. Primary service lines exit the assembly through X1 −6 SAE, X2 −12 SAE, and X3 −8 JIC connections to accommodate standard hose sizes. Hydraulic fluid is stored in a 5 gal (19.0 L) steel reservoir; the material resists deformation, and an −8 SAE drain port simplifies oil changes. Return flow passes through a 20 µm absolute filter before entering the tank, removing fine particulate and protecting downstream components.
