It serves as a self-contained source of pressurized fluid for hydraulic automation circuits that require consistent flow and pressure. The fixed-displacement gear pump moves 0.24 in³ per revolution, producing a steady flow of 1.8 GPM to supply small actuators and clamp cylinders. A maximum working pressure of 2,420 psi enables the unit to drive medium-duty tooling without exceeding component limits. The pump is driven by a 3 hp, 3-phase motor housed in a TEFC enclosure to keep dust and moisture away from the windings. With a rated speed of 1,750 rpm, the motor maintains the specified displacement-to-flow relationship while minimizing noise and wear.
Electrical input is flexible because the motor accepts 230 or 460 V at 60 Hz, enabling straightforward integration into standard industrial mains. Hydraulic energy is stored in a 5-gal reservoir that balances thermal expansion and provides air separation before the fluid returns to the pump. A return filter with a 20 μ absolute rating removes particulate contamination to protect valves and cylinders. Maintenance access is provided through a -8 SAE drain port that simplifies fluid changes. System plumbing connects through three dedicated points: a -6 SAE port at X1 for auxiliary loads, a -12 SAE port at X2 for main pressure delivery, and a -8 JIC port at X3 for return or test instrumentation.
