The PP2.5/P1-4/.5/RV/H2/L0 power pack belongs to the Rexroth Power Packs series and is built by Bosch Rexroth to supply pressurized oil to compact hydraulic automation circuits. It carries a 2.5 gal (9.5 L) reservoir that stores the working fluid and keeps suction conditions stable. A filler-breather is included so the operator can add oil and vent the tank without separate hardware. Cleanliness is controlled by a return filter rated at 20 µ absolute, reducing solid contamination before fluid re-enters the reservoir. A –8 SAE drain port lets maintenance staff remove oil quickly during service. The fixed-displacement gear pump in size P1-4 delivers a precise 0.05 in³/rev (0.82 cm³/rev) displacement, while maximum system flow reaches 0.4 GPM (1.51 L/min) for steady actuator movement. A pressure-line check valve is included to stop reverse flow and protect the circuit when loads try to drive the pump.

Drive power is supplied by a 0.5 hp electric motor that provides enough torque for the listed pump displacement in typical duty cycles. The motor turns at 1750 rpm, matching the design speed of the gear stages for consistent flow. It accepts 230/460 V three-phase 60 Hz input, permitting direct connection to standard industrial mains. A totally enclosed fan-cooled enclosure shields the motor windings from dust and oil mist while maintaining temperature. Operators can verify operating conditions through a fluid level indicator that incorporates a thermometer, allowing simultaneous checks of oil volume and temperature. Together, these motor and monitoring features let the power pack support low-flow automation tasks that need reliable, self-contained hydraulic pressure without external reservoirs or filtration modules.
