The PP20/G2016/5/RV/H0/L0 hydraulic power pack is produced by Bosch Rexroth within the Rexroth Power Packs series. It supplies pressurized fluid to cylinders and motors in automated machinery. A 5 HP (3.7 kW) three-phase motor running at 1750 RPM turns a gear pump with a displacement of 0.99 in³ per revolution to create flow. When energized on 230 or 460 V at 60 Hz, the assembly delivers up to 7.5 gallons per minute (28.39 L/min), providing the volume needed for moderate speed actuators.
The circuit is limited to 970 PSI (65 bar) by a relief valve that includes a pressure gauge for fast adjustment during commissioning. The motor is built on a 184TC frame and uses a totally enclosed fan-cooled housing to protect windings from workshop contaminants. Fluid is stored in a 20 gallon (76 L) steel reservoir drained through a -8 SAE port for clean oil changes. A 20 µm absolute return filter captures particulate before the fluid reenters the tank, maintaining system cleanliness and extending component life.
