The M-4SED6D1X/350CG96N9K4 directional poppet valve is produced by Bosch Rexroth within the M-SED Poppet Valves series and is intended for precise hydraulic automation. Variant D provides four ports and two positions that open or block flow as commanded by a wet-pin solenoid with a detachable coil, simplifying replacement in the field. The coil is energized with 96 V DC and remains functional when line voltage fluctuates by ±10 percent. Because the magnet is wound for direct current, an external rectifier is required whenever the supply is AC. Continuous energization is allowed by a 100 percent duty cycle, while electrical load is limited to 30 W to keep cabinet power budgets predictable.
Connection to plant wiring is carried out through a DIN EN 175301-803 K4 plug; once the mating connector is locked, the enclosure achieves IP65 protection against dust and water jets. A concealed N9 manual override lets technicians shift the poppet mechanically during commissioning without exposing the push rod. Thermal limits are extended by insulation that tolerates coil temperatures up to 150 °C, and the hydraulic body withstands operating pressures as high as 350 bar for use on high-pressure manifolds. The electromagnetic drive can repeat up to 15 000 switching cycles per hour, supporting rapid on-off sequences in servo-controlled presses and test stands.
