The SL15GA1-4X/V/12 check valve is part of the Hy-Check Valves series from Bosch Rexroth and is intended to block reverse flow while allowing pilots to open the main poppet in automated hydraulic systems. A nominal size of 16 sets the internal flow passage for medium-capacity circuits, while a control area of 3.46 cm² defines the hydraulic force that the pilot line must generate to shift the element. The valve opens when differential pressure reaches 2.5 bar, and the built-in pre-opening feature equalizes pressure across the poppet before the full stroke begins to reduce shock. Rated for 315 bar, the housing tolerates common high-pressure supply lines in mobile and industrial equipment. Installation is made through a threaded connection, allowing direct insertion into a manifold port. The valve tolerates ambient air temperatures up to 80 °C, so it can operate near hot power units without additional shielding. The same 80 °C limit applies to fluid temperature, confirming compatibility with typical mineral-oil circuits that run warm during continuous duty. Viscosity may reach 500 mm²/s, which establishes the upper limit for cold-start conditions before actuation speed is affected. To protect sealing edges, the hydraulic medium must meet ISO 4406 20/18/15 cleanliness, guiding filter selection. FKM seals resist the specified heat level and common hydraulic fluids, maintaining leak-tight closure during long service intervals. A pilot volume of 10.8 cm³ at port X and 9.6 cm³ at port Y describes the oil quantity that must be displaced for each switching cycle, helping size control lines and accumulators. The UNF/UN connection thread ensures the valve mates with standard North American fittings, completing the interface data required for installation.
