The FESXE 32CA-1X/320LK0B1M throttle valve belongs to the FES Throttle Valves series from Bosch Rexroth and is used to meter flow in hydraulic automation circuits. A command input of 0–10 V (B1) sets the metering area, while an actual value output of 0 to −10 V (B1) reports the current position for closed-loop control. The electronics operate from a 24 V DC supply that may vary between 21.6 V and 36 V, and the unit becomes active when the enable input receives 10–36 V as logic 1. The hydraulic sections tolerate a maximum operating pressure of 315 bar and the pilot stage is rated for the same 315 bar, so the valve can be installed in high-pressure manifolds. A nominal flow of 320 L/min at a 10 bar differential allows large volume transfer, and hysteresis remains below 0.2 % to keep commanded flow repeatable.
The valve responds to small signal changes with a sensitivity better than 0.1 %, and its range of inversion is held under 0.15 %, limiting deadband when the control voltage crosses zero. Flow from port A to port b requires at least 15 bar inlet pressure, whereas flow from port B to port a needs 20 bar to ensure stable throttling. Acceptable oil viscosity spans 15–380 mm²/s, and hydraulic fluid temperatures can range from −20 °C to +80 °C without derating performance. The main stage fluid must meet cleanliness level ISO 4406 (c) 20/18/15, while the pilot supply is restricted to ISO 4406 (c) 17/15/12 to protect fine orifices. These characteristics enable precise, consistent flow control across varying operating conditions.
