The FESE50CA-3X/1400LK0G1M throttle valve is produced by Bosch Rexroth for the FES Throttle Valves series and is intended to meter flow in hydraulic automation circuits through an electrohydraulic pilot stage. Its electronics run on a 24 V DC supply voltage, while a 4 to 20 mA command interface delivers the desired opening signal. Spool position is returned as a 4 to 20 mA actual value that can be read across loads up to 500 Ω. The main stage tolerates operating pressures up to 315 bar. In the a-to-b direction it transmits as much as 1400 L/min with 10 bar differential pressure when at least 20 bar is present at the inlet. Pilot port x may see pressures up to 315 bar, and shifting the spool from closed to fully open consumes 23.4 cm³ of pilot oil.
When flow is reversed from b to a, the valve again passes 1400 L/min at 10 bar differential but requires a 25 bar minimum inlet pressure to prevent cavitation. Pilot port y draws no more than 12 L/min, enabling compact external pilot circuits. The hydraulic section operates with fluid temperatures between –20 and +80 °C, and the overall unit remains functional in ambient conditions from –20 to +50 °C. Consistent throttling is maintained with oil viscosities from 15 to 380 mm²/s. An IP65 enclosure shields the electrical components from dust and water jets, and NBR seals isolate the hydraulic passages.
