The EG1-111AAN-NN encoder cable is produced by Bosch Rexroth and belongs to the EG eLion Encoder Cables series. It links the position sensor on an eLion motor to the matched inverter so that hydraulic pumps and valves receive precise feedback for automated control. The assembly follows cable design REG0017, meaning conductor lay-up and shield geometry meet eLion interface pinout. As an analog cable it transports low-level sine-cosine or voltage signals without digital conversion, reducing latency in drive loops. Each conductor is insulated with polypropylene (PP), giving good dielectric strength and resistance to common hydraulic oils. A 17-pole M23 plug on the cable end that mates to the motor provides all signal lines in a single connector, and the motor side uses a straight housing so routing stays parallel to the machine frame.

At the inverter end a second straight M23 interface keeps installation symmetric and allows panel builders to feed the bundle directly into the drive enclosure without angular strain. Leak-tightness is rated IP6K7/IP6K9K, so the mated connectors withstand dust, temporary immersion, and high-pressure wash-down encountered on mobile hydraulic equipment. Conductors remain functional up to 90 °C, permitting placement close to heat-producing pumps or manifold blocks. Installers must observe a minimum bending radius of five times the outer diameter to prevent shield fatigue and maintain impedance integrity. Within the Bosch Rexroth portfolio the unit is intended for encoder feedback inside the eLion platform, aligning with other harnesses that power and monitor electro-hydraulic actuators.
