The Bosch Rexroth DRE Proportional Pressure Reducing Valves are pilot-operated, 2-way valves designed to remotely and continuously adjust the reduced pressure in a hydraulic sub-circuit via an electrical command signal. Their main function is to precisely control and maintain a variable, lower pressure at the working port (A) while receiving fluid from the high-pressure port (P), with a maximum operating pressure of 315 bar. The valves work by using a proportional solenoid to electrically adjust the pilot pressure, which in turn acts on the main spool to modulate the flow and set the desired reduced pressure in line A. The series offers versions with external control electronics (DRE/DREM) or integrated control electronics (DREME), where the latter reduces manufacturing tolerances for a more consistent command-value characteristic curve. An optional check valve can be integrated to allow free reverse flow from the reduced-pressure line (A) back to the inlet (P), providing flexibility in circuit design.
