It displaces 90 cm³ per revolution, setting the basic volumetric output of the rotating group. At its nominal speed of 3050 rpm the unit delivers 275 L/min, supplying high flow for motors or cylinders, while a minimum speed of 500 rpm permits slow-running circuits without stalling. Intermittent operation up to 3800 rpm is allowed for brief peak demand. Continuous system work occurs at 400 bar; short overloads can be handled at 450 bar to accommodate transient spikes. A charge pump built into the housing provides 19.6 cm³ per revolution at 20 bar, and its supplementary circuit can sustain 25 bar continuously or 40 bar momentarily to keep the main inlet flooded. Suction conditions must remain between 0.8 bar absolute and 5 bar absolute so the pistons stay fully filled and cavitation is avoided.

Electronic regulation is handled by an EP4 proportional solenoid that receives a 24 V supply. The displacement control starts at 200 mA and reaches its full stroke at 600 mA, giving the controller a defined current window for accurate swash-plate positioning. Hydraulic actuation of this mechanism requires the control line to run at least 20 bar above case pressure so the servo piston can overcome internal leakage paths. These electrical and hydraulic command values let the pump track load changes quickly, coordinate with boost pressure from the charge section, and maintain stable output in automated drive systems.
