The AA4VG56EP3D1/32L-NSC52F005DP variable pump is produced by Bosch Rexroth within the AA4VG Variable Pumps series. It delivers closed-loop hydraulic power for traction drives and work functions in automated machinery. Each revolution displaces 56 cm³ of fluid, and when the swashplate is at maximum angle and the shaft is turning at the nominal 3600 rpm, the pump provides a flow of 202 L/min to downstream actuators. Rotation is counterclockwise as viewed from the drive side, so applications must align motor orientation accordingly. A 1 1/4 in 14-tooth 12/24DP splined shaft transfers torque from the prime mover, while the suction port uses a 1 5/16-12 UN-2B thread for low-pressure intake lines. Pressurized output leaves through 3/4 in SAE J518 ports that match standard manifold blocks. Electronic control requires a 12 V supply to the EP3 regulator, allowing proportional displacement adjustment from the cab or controller.

Auxiliary replenishment is handled by an internal boost stage that moves 11.6 cm³ per revolution at 20 bar to keep the main circuit charged and purge air. The housing holds 1.5 L of case oil to lubricate bearings and dissipate heat during continuous duty. Working pressure is rated at 400 bar and may be increased to 450 bar for short peaks, giving designers flexibility in load cycles. At the 400 bar rating the shaft must deliver 357 Nm, and the pump in turn can transmit 134 kW to hydraulic motors. Short bursts up to 4500 rpm are permissible, expanding the speed envelope beyond the nominal value. Dynamic response is aided by a mass moment of inertia of 0.0066 kg·m², so speed changes imposed by diesel or electric drives are translated quickly to flow changes without excessive lag.
