The AA4VG180EP4DT1/32R-NSD52F001DH-S pump is manufactured by Bosch Rexroth as part of the AA4VG Variable Pumps series and is intended to provide variable displacement flow for hydraulic automation circuits. The unit supports a nominal pressure of 400 bar to supply steady power to closed-loop drives, while a maximum pressure rating of 450 bar permits short overload events. Its solenoid control stage operates on 24 V DC to match common machine controllers. A start of control current of 200 mA initiates swashplate movement, and the end of control current at 600 mA drives the swashplate to maximum angle. A current limit of 0.77 A guards the coil against overheating during modulation. Pulse-width modulation may be applied at a 100 Hz dither frequency to minimize static friction in the control spool. The electrical winding presents a nominal resistance of 22.7 Ω, enabling accurate current regulation, and the actuator is specified for a 100 % duty cycle so continuous operation is possible without thermal rest periods.
HLP hydraulic oil according to DIN 51524 is required to maintain lubrication and material compatibility inside the rotating group. A cold-start viscosity limit of 1600 cSt allows safe engagement when ambient temperatures are low. During operation the a and b work ports may reach 115 °C, whereas the NBR seal is limited to a maximum operating temperature of 85 °C to preserve sealing integrity. The pilot port Ps can be loaded up to 40 bar to supply the control piston, and the X3 and X4 feedback ports share the same 40 bar ceiling for consistent line selection. Ma and Mb case-drain ports are threaded 7/16-20 UNF-2B to a depth of 12 mm, providing secure attachment points for drain hoses. These fluid, viscosity, temperature, and pressure limits define the safe operating envelope for continuous service in mobile or industrial hydrostatic transmissions.
