The AA4VG180EP4D1/32R-NSD60F071DP-S variable pump is part of the AA4VG Variable Pumps series from Bosch Rexroth and serves as a main pressure source in automated hydraulic drives. It runs in closed circuit mode to recirculate fluid efficiently, and its shaft turns clockwise to match common mobile equipment layouts. The working zone is rated for 5800 psi (400 bar) nominal pressure to sustain continuous load, while the measuring ports can be pressurized up to 6500 psi (450 bar) and are tapped with a 7/16-20 UNF-2B thread for test points. A separate case drain line handles leakage oil and is limited to 45 psi (3 bar) so housing seals remain intact. Control circuitry accesses the pump through a pilot port cut for a 9/16-18 UNF-2B fitting, and downstream accessories mount to the SAE J744 127-2 (C) through-drive flange.
In electronic pressure control, the EP4 solenoid accepts a 24 V supply with a ±20 % tolerance and begins modulation at 200 mA, increasing linearly until full displacement is reached at 600 mA. An integrated current limiter stops drive signals at 0.77 A to protect the coil, which presents a resistance of 22.7 Ω when cold. The electrical interface uses a DEUTSCH 2-Pin plug so harness connections remain secure in mobile environments. Hydraulic safety margin is provided by a maximum operating pressure of 6500 psi (450 bar) for short-term peaks. Mechanical power can be passed downstream through the 1 1/4 in 14T 12/24DP through-drive spline, allowing additional pumps or accessories to share the prime mover.
