The 2520VQ21A8S 123BA21L 277 vane pump is produced by Vickers for the VQ Thru-Drive Vane Pumps series and is intended to supply two independent hydraulic circuits from a single drive shaft. Rotation from the shaft end is left-hand, so the rotor turns counterclockwise. When driven at 1200 rpm the cover end delivers 8 US gpm, and the shaft end produces 21 US gpm. Cover-end displacement is 27.4 cm³ per revolution (1.67 in³/rev), while the shaft end provides 67.7 cm³ per revolution (4.12 in³/rev). The housing carries SAE 4-bolt flanges for the inlet, O1, and O2 ports to simplify rigid piping. From the cover view the outlet positions are set at O1 90° counterclockwise and O2 135° counterclockwise, allowing standardized hose routing. The cover end tolerates a maximum speed of 2700 rpm.
The shaft end is limited to 2500 rpm to protect bearings under continuous duty. Both the cover end and the shaft end withstand working pressures up to 210 bar (3000 psi). The inlet can accept positive pressures up to 1.4 bar (20 psi) and also tolerates a vacuum of 5 in Hg when the reservoir is below the pump. A double shaft seal is fitted to prevent fluid leakage and block external contaminants. Torque is transmitted through a 13-tooth 16/32 DP spline that engages with a major diameter fit. The spline major diameter measures 22.15 mm (0.872 in).
