The 25V21A 1A22R vane pump is built by Vickers as part of the V Series Vane Pumps series. It supplies pressurized fluid for hydraulic automation systems that require stable flow and simple service. The pump moves 67 cm³ per revolution, establishing a fixed displacement for predictable output. At 1200 rpm and 6.9 bar it provides 21 gallons per minute, meeting common machine tool demands. Minimum usable speed is 600 rpm, so the drive can run slowly during setup. Rotation is clockwise, which must match the prime mover. A flange mount holds the housing rigidly against the drive face. The inlet side uses an SAE FL-12 flange while the outlet is equipped with an SAE FL-8 flange, giving standard port sizes for tubing connections.
The design supports 172 bar continuous working pressure, allowing circuits to run at 2500 psi without derating. Driving equipment must deliver no more than 250 N·m of torque, the pump’s maximum input limit. The inlet line may be pressurized up to 1.4 bar or subjected to suction down to −0.17 bar, accommodating various reservoir levels. A moment of inertia of 0.000757 N·m·s² enables quick speed changes during intermittent cycles. The outlet is situated opposite the inlet, identified as position A, which helps lay out hoses in a straight path. Weight is 14.8 kg, so one person can lift and position the unit during installation.
