On the primary side, the shaft end displacement reaches 55 cm³ per revolution (3.4 in³/rev) so the main circuit receives more volume, and the shaft end rated flow of 17 gpm supports higher demand functions without flow starvation. A maximum speed of 1800 rpm limits the drive motor selection and keeps internal vanes within their mechanical stress range. The inlet side must not exceed 1.4 bar (20 psi) to protect shaft seals, yet it may go as low as –0.17 bar (5 inHg) to accommodate suction lift without cavitation when tanks are below the pump. Fluid temperature should remain at or below 65 °C (150 °F) to preserve oil life and vane clearances. Operation is recommended with viscosities no lower than 13 cSt so lubrication films stay intact and no higher than 54 cSt so flow losses through the galleries stay within acceptable limits, completing the viscosity window needed for reliable service.
