The V20 1S8S 18C11L vane pump is part of the Square Vane Pumps series produced by Vickers for hydraulic automation circuits. This pump delivers fluid flow and pressure control to actuators and valves in machinery. It offers a ring capacity of 8 GPM, so the circuit designer can size reservoirs and lines for that steady volume rate. A 2-bolt SAE A mounting flange allows direct attachment to common industrial power units without extra brackets. The inlet port uses a 1.625-12 UN-2B thread to accept standardized suction fittings, while the outlet port on the standard cover is machined with a 1.062-12 UN-2B thread to route pressurized fluid toward system components. The sealed bearing arrangement supports the rotor while preventing lubricant escape and contaminant ingress, and the pump is supplied with a standard cover that suits general service where no special valving is required.

On the drive end, the shaft extension measures 1.25 in, giving sufficient engagement length for couplings yet keeping overall envelope small. A single lip shaft seal is installed to block hydraulic oil from leaking along the drive shaft. Torque is transmitted through a nine-tooth spline; the spline has a major diameter of 0.623 in, a 16/32 pitch, and mates with correspondingly cut female hubs to maintain concentric alignment under load. The selected length also leaves room for safety guards and inline torque limiters, while this seal design keeps friction low during continuous duty. The spline geometry minimizes backlash and ensures repeatable positioning of the rotor during assembly, supporting reliable power transfer from electric or combustion engines and preserving the internal clearances set by the manufacturer.
