The V10 1P7S 1A20 vane pump belongs to the Square Vane Pumps series from Vickers and is intended for compact hydraulic automation where fixed displacement flow is needed. A displacement of 22.8 cm³ per revolution dictates the volume transferred with each shaft turn, and a rated delivery of 7 US gpm sets the baseline flow at the nominal ring capacity. When the shaft runs at its maximum speed of 2800 rpm the pump can supply up to 16 US gpm, allowing circuits to accommodate higher demand without changing hardware. Clockwise rotation viewed from the shaft end matches common power-take-off layouts and simplifies coupling alignment. A maximum operating pressure of 138 bar enables the unit to drive cylinders and motors in moderate-pressure systems without risk of case distortion. An inlet vacuum limit of 5 in Hg restricts vertical lift on the supply line so the pump avoids cavitation during cold starts. The inlet may also be pressurized up to 0.7 bar to flood the chamber when a reservoir sits below pump level. Shaft torque is transmitted through a 3/16 in key fitted to a 0.75 in major diameter shaft, allowing direct drive by standard electric-motor couplings without special machining.
