It requires a minimum supply pressure of 14 bar (200 psi) to maintain stable spool positioning, while the maximum supply pressure reaches 210 bar (3000 psi) for use in medium-pressure systems. The supply port proof pressure is 150 % of the maximum supply pressure so the body can tolerate temporary surges during commissioning. With the return port open the assembly endures a burst pressure equal to 250 % of the maximum supply pressure, and return passages are rated for a proof pressure equal to the maximum supply pressure to avoid deformation under back pressure. It begins to respond at a threshold of 0.5 % of rated current, and static hysteresis around null is restricted to 3 % of rated current for consistent closed-loop control. The assembly withstands shock levels up to 150 g, supporting use on mobile platforms, and it operates continuously at temperatures as high as 135 °C (275 °F) without derating.
