The SM4-20(15)57-80/50-10-S10 servo valve is manufactured by Vickers for the Servo Valves series. It meters hydraulic flow for automated actuators where proportional response and stable control are required. At 70 bar differential, the valve delivers a rated flow of 57 l/min (15 USgpm) while the internal pilot stage draws only 0.35 l/min (0.092 USgpm). System pressure must be at least 14 bar (200 psi) for the spool to shift correctly. Each coil is designed for a rated current of 50 mA and presents 80 ohms resistance, so the drive electronics can limit power without excess heating. Continuous operation is permitted up to 135 °C (275 °F), so the valve tolerates high oil temperatures in compact manifolds. Cleanliness must be maintained with a 35 µm absolute pilot filter to prevent orifice blockage. Electrical connection is made through an MS-3106-14S-2S four-pin plug, and the assembly endures 150 g shock without loss of function. Manifold interface details include a 1.78 mm (0.070 in) O-ring cross-section, a 22.22 mm (0.875 in) port circle diameter, and a 10.82 mm (0.426 in) port O-ring inside diameter, enabling direct replacement in standard cavities.
