The TCG-06-CVY-40 sequence valve is produced by Vickers as part of the Relief Valves series. Designed to initiate secondary functions when a preset pressure is reached, it regulates hydraulic automation circuits that need staged flow. A balanced piston mechanism minimizes the influence of downstream pressure on the setting, while the high vent spring that is installed accelerates piston retraction when a remote pilot signal opens the vent line. A dedicated vent connection is provided so external control plumbing can be added without modification. The valve handles a rated pressure up to 210 bar (3000 psi), and its pressure range code C designates the adjustable window suited to common industrial systems. With a rated flow of 227 L/min (60 US gpm) through the nominal size 06 cavity, the unit passes sufficient volume for actuators without excessive pressure loss. The ISO 19/17/14 cleanliness rating indicates the fluid must be filtered to that level to prevent wear and ensure reliable sequencing.
A subplate mounting interface simplifies installation of the TCG-06-CVY-40, and the unrestricted mounting orientation allows the block to be positioned in any attitude within crowded manifolds. A drain connection routed to tank prevents backflow through the pilot passage, keeping control stability even when system lines surge. The valve tolerates a maximum tank back pressure of 7 bar (100 psi), so return line restrictions must stay below this limit to avoid offsetting the setting. Internal seals are fluorocarbon to withstand aggressive fluids and a maximum operating temperature of 68 °C (155 °F), while Buna-N mounting seals mate with the subplate surface to block external leakage. These materials maintain integrity across thermal cycles common in industrial machines, and the balanced piston layout reinforces pressure stability when the sequence function is activated.
