The RV3-16-S-0-5/1.5 relief valve is manufactured by Vickers for the Relief Valves series and limits excess pressure in hydraulic automation circuits. It is a direct acting unit, so line pressure moves the poppet directly to open a path to tank as soon as the set value is reached. The screw-in cartridge installation means the valve threads into a manifold block, minimizing external plumbing. Its C-16-2 cavity conforms to a common industry pattern, allowing quick interchange with other cartridges sharing that footprint. A factory set pressure of 10 bar provides ready-to-use protection during initial commissioning, while a screw adjustment lets maintenance staff raise or lower the setting as operating requirements change. The design covers working pressures from 4 bar up to 35 bar, giving flexibility for both low-pressure and moderate-pressure machines. Two valve ports create separate inlet and return paths inside the manifold.
Rated flow capability reaches 303 L/min, so the valve can relieve high-volume circuits without excessive pressure rise. Internal leakage is limited to 0.3 cc/min, conserving pump energy when the valve is closed. When assembled in a dedicated body, two housing ports match common line connections for straightforward piping. The cartridge-only port configuration keeps the envelope compact, which is useful in space-restricted blocks. Overall dimensions of 148.336 mm in length and 38.100 mm in both height and width permit dense stacking alongside other cartridges without interference.
