The RV1-10-S-6H-18/ relief valve is produced by Vickers for hydraulic automation tasks that require precise over-pressure control, and it belongs to the Relief Valves series. The unit is a direct-acting poppet design, so it opens immediately when system pressure exceeds its setting and reseats quickly to minimize flow disruption. A screw adjustment permits on-site tuning, while the factory sets the cracking point at 70.5 bar for initial startup. The cartridge fits a C-10-2 cavity, allowing drop-in replacement within standard manifold blocks. Connection is made through a 3/8 in SAE port, which supports compact plumbing. Fluid cleanliness should be maintained at ISO 18/16/13 to protect the poppet and spring assembly. A Buna-N seal contains common petroleum-based fluids across the service range. The housing tolerates a maximum design pressure of 210 bar, providing a safe margin above typical system requirements.
During operation the cartridge passes up to 30 l/min without excessive pressure drop, making it suitable for medium-flow circuits in industrial and mobile equipment. Internal leakage is restricted to 300 cc/min, conserving pump energy and limiting oil heating when the valve is closed. The adjustable working span starts at 17 bar and extends to a continuous limit of 124 bar, enabling use as a pilot or main relief in diverse circuits. Reliable function is maintained from −40 °C to 120 °C, so the valve withstands cold starts as well as elevated bulk-oil temperatures during extended duty cycles. These flow, pressure, and temperature capabilities keep the poppet stable and the spring responsive, delivering repeatable relief performance throughout the service life of the hydraulic system.
