The f3CG-06-C-40 relief valve is produced by Vickers within the Relief Valves series and is intended to protect hydraulic automation systems from over-pressure. It provides a pressure relief function that opens once the set level is reached. A knob with a jam nut allows technicians to adjust the setting without removing the unit. The valve withstands a maximum operating pressure of 210 bar (3000 psi) and passes up to 227 L/min (60 US gpm) at that level. Fluids based on phosphate esters can be used, and a fluorocarbon seal resists chemical swelling during extended duty. Continuous operation is permitted up to 68 °C (155 °F), enabling placement near warm power packs. Connection to the circuit is by subplate or manifold mount, so removal requires no pipework changes.
The body length measures 156.5 mm (6.16 in), the body width is 71.4 mm (2.81 in), and the height when fully extended reaches 159.5 mm (6.28 in), giving a compact cubic profile. Installed weight is 5.0 kg (11 lb), allowing manual handling during maintenance. Proper retention is achieved with mounting bolts 2.75 in long that engage 5/8-11 UNC-2B threads in the base. A pilot or gauge port tapped 0.4375-20 UNF-2B supports pressure monitoring or remote piloting. These dimensional and connection features simplify integration into multi-station valve banks and preserve the flow capacity defined in the preceding paragraph.
