The F3-CG-10-B20 relief valve is produced by Vickers for the Relief Valves series and is installed in hydraulic circuits to divert fluid when system pressure rises beyond a preset level. The valve uses a balanced piston design so that pressure forces on the moving element are equalized, which stabilizes opening behavior across the full operating range. Subplate mounting allows the unit to be removed without disturbing fixed pipework, reducing service time in automation lines. It tolerates system pressures up to 210 bar (3000 psi), making it suitable for medium- and high-pressure equipment. A maximum flow capacity of 454 l/min (120 US gpm) enables the valve to handle large displacement pumps without excessive pressure loss. Fluorocarbon seals are fitted to resist swelling and maintain leak-tight operation when exposed to chemically aggressive hydraulic fluids.

The F3-CG-10-B20 works with mineral oil, permitting use in conventional hydraulic power units, and it also accepts phosphate ester fluids for applications that require fire-resistant media. Continuous duty is allowed at fluid temperatures up to 68 °C (155 °F), so the valve remains functional in reservoirs that run hot during prolonged cycles. The housing weighs 8.6 kg (19 lb), providing enough mass for rigidity while still being manageable by a single technician during installation. Because the internal geometry is configured to relieve excess pressure, the device prevents overloading of hoses and actuators when flow is suddenly blocked. These characteristics support reliable pressure regulation in automated hydraulic systems that demand steady performance and straightforward maintenance.
