CT5-100A B W B-70

The CT5-100A B W B-70 relief valve belongs to the Relief Valves series from Vickers and is intended to limit hydraulic system pressure in automated equipment. Pressure regulation is achieved by a balanced piston that shifts when pilot flow changes under solenoid control. The pilot stage uses the DG4V-3S valve, and energizing its coil at 120 V AC 60 Hz directs oil to the main piston for rapid opening. Because the unit is solenoid controlled and pilot operated, the electrical actuator handles only a small flow while the main stage passes full line volume. A 7.92 mm (0.312 in) hex on the adjust screw allows precise setting, and unrestricted mounting orientation lets designers place the valve in any position.

The CT5-100A B W B-70 maintains a maximum operating pressure of 210 bar (3000 psi) to protect pumps, actuators, and piping from overload. Fluorocarbon internal seals withstand elevated fluid temperatures and resist chemical attack, sustaining long service intervals. The valve body is machined with NPTF threads so pressure ports join securely to pipe fittings, while the electrical housing is tapped for a 1/2 in NPT conduit to route coil leads. Those leads carry Class H insulation, permitting higher winding temperatures during continuous duty cycles. Together, these construction details support stable pressure control in demanding hydraulic automation environments.
