CG-06-CV-10

The CG-06-CV-10 is produced by Vickers within the Relief Valves series for hydraulic automation where controlled pressure limitation is required. It is built to relieve systems up to 210 bar (3000 psi), setting the upper boundary of safe operating pressure. A maximum flow capability of 227 l/min (60 US gpm) allows the unit to pass high volumes of oil without excessive pressure rise. A high-vent spring is installed so the valve can vent rapidly when commanded, shortening pressure decay times in the circuit. The design limits tank return pressure to 7 bar (100 psi) above the system level to prevent back-pressure from disrupting the set relief point. Subplate mounting is used, enabling fast removal or exchange on standardized manifold bases without disturbing hard plumbing.

The internal seals are fluorocarbon, giving resistance to elevated temperatures and many hydraulic fluids encountered in industrial machinery. Buna-N face seals are supplied for the mounting interface, creating a tight seal between the body and the subplate. The mating surface must have a finish of 1.6 µm (63 microinch) to maintain low leakage paths, while a flatness of 0.013 mm (0.0005 in) keeps the entire sealing area in uniform contact. The unit is approved for operation up to 68 °C (155 °F), beyond which seal and spring characteristics could degrade. A mass of 5.0 kg (11 lb) provides enough structural rigidity for pressure loading yet remains manageable for single-person installation.
