The case drain is located on the top of the housing, providing a high point for air removal, and the drain port thread is 0.875-14 UNF-2B with an SAE O-ring to maintain a leak-free joint. A fluorocarbon shaft seal tolerates elevated oil temperatures and resists swelling in synthetic fluids.
