The PVB5-FLSY-20-CM-11 piston pump is manufactured by Vickers within the PVB Piston Pumps series. Designed for hydraulic automation circuits, it is an axial piston, variable-displacement unit that varies output according to demand. Its geometric displacement is 10.55 cm³ per revolution, so every shaft turn moves that volume of fluid. Because the displacement zone lies on one side of center, flow can only increase in one direction as the swash plate angle grows. The shaft is intended to rotate anticlockwise when viewed from the end, which matches left-hand prime movers found in mobile machinery. A built-in pressure compensator, identified by the CM code, trims swash plate angle to maintain target pressure under fluctuating loads. The rotating group may run up to 1800 rpm; at that speed the pump supplies 18.9 L/min to the circuit. Delivering this flow against 210 bar requires about 13.0 kW of mechanical power, so drive motors must be sized accordingly. Typical operation produces 63 dB(A) at 1500 rpm and 140 bar, helping keep noise exposure moderate.

System limits and connection details complete the technical profile. The outlet side may be pressurized to a maximum of 210 bar, establishing the allowable working pressure for actuators and valves downstream. Two case-drain ports relieve internal leakage oil; each opening uses a 9/16-18 UNF-2B thread to connect return hoses back to the reservoir. Main inlet and outlet passages are machined with 11/16-12 UNF-2B threads, permitting direct mounting to standard SAE adapters and simplifying service. Ambient operation is permitted from −20 °C to +70 °C, enabling cold-start functionality and reliable service in warm engine compartments. Mineral oil in the circuit can reach up to +80 °C without exceeding material limits, so oil coolers can be sized accordingly. By accommodating common thread sizes, providing dual case drains, and tolerating wide environmental conditions, the pump integrates cleanly into industrial and mobile hydraulic systems that rely on automatic pressure control.
