The PVB29-RS-20-CG-20-S185 pump is part of the PVB Piston Pumps series from Vickers and supplies pressurized fluid in hydraulic automation systems. It uses an axial piston design, so multiple pistons stroke against a swashplate to generate flow. The displacement is variable, enabling the circuit to match flow to load without throttling. Because the displacement zone lies on one side of center, the swashplate only tilts in a single direction when flow is reduced. Geometric displacement is fixed at 61.60 cm3 per revolution (3.76 in3 per revolution), defining the maximum volume moved each shaft turn. Clockwise rotation viewed from the shaft end dictates motor orientation during installation. The pump tolerates shaft speeds up to 1800 r/min and attaches through an SAE mounting flange, making it compatible with standard electric motor frames.
System pressure is governed by a pressure compensator control that automatically trims displacement when the set pressure is reached. The compensator setting can be altered through a remote adjustable feature, allowing pressure changes without touching the pump housing. Maximum inlet pressure of 1.0 bar (15 psi) limits suction side restrictions and protects against cavitation. When operating with anti-wear oil the outlet can rise to 140 bar (2000 psi), supporting medium-pressure actuators. With water-glycol fluids the allowable outlet drops to 100 bar (1500 psi) to maintain component life. Noise output measures 81 dB(A) at 1500 r/min and 140 bar, providing data for acoustic enclosures and workplace safety.
