The PVB29 FRSFW 20 CM piston pump is manufactured by Vickers within the PVB Piston Pumps series. Intended for hydraulic automation circuits, it employs a pressure compensator (CM) with design number 20 so outlet pressure can be trimmed automatically to system demand. The compensator acts on a dedicated control line that may reach 100 bar (1500 psi), allowing rapid swash-plate adjustment. A geometric displacement of 61.6 cm³ per revolution supports a rated flow of 109.7 L/min when the shaft turns at its nominal 1800 r/min, which matches common electric motor speeds. Under those conditions the pump draws a maximum of 29.4 kW, giving designers a clear picture of drive-motor sizing. The unit tolerates system pressures up to 140 bar to handle medium-duty actuators, and the internal rotating group is arranged on one side of center to keep package length short. Clockwise rotation is specified for direct coupling to standard right-hand prime movers.


For installation environments, the pump operates in ambient temperatures from –20 °C (–4 °F) up to 70 °C (158 °F), enabling year-round service in mobile or factory settings. Mineral oil can be circulated until the fluid reaches 80 °C (176 °F), while water-containing blends must remain below 54 °C (129 °F) to protect bearing surfaces. Circuit cleanliness must meet ISO 18/14 so the hydrostatic slipper pads remain free of abrasive particles. Acoustic emission stays at 81 dB(A) when running 1800 r/min and delivering 140 bar, a level that guides enclosure and hearing-protection planning. The specified noise figure is achieved thanks to balanced piston phasing and controlled swash-plate movement. These thermal, fluid, and contamination limits complement the flow and pressure data described earlier and define the full operating envelope for reliable hydraulic power generation.
