The PVB29-FRS-20-C-11 is a piston pump built by Vickers for the PVB Piston Pumps series and is intended for hydraulic automation circuits where stable flow and pressure are required. Its displacement of 61.60 cm³ per revolution establishes the volume of fluid delivered each shaft turn for consistent actuator movement. The pump operates with flow from one side of center, a displacement zone that simplifies swashplate control in fixed direction systems. Clockwise rotation matches common right-hand drive layouts in industrial power units. A pressure compensator control keeps the outlet pressure to the selected setting without external valves. The design sustains a maximum outlet pressure of 140 bar, allowing use in medium-pressure servo loops. When driven at 1800 r/min it can supply up to 109.7 L/min, supporting rapid cylinder or motor cycles. An SAE mounting flange provides straightforward installation on standard motor adapters.
The inlet and outlet ports are cut with 1.625-12 UNF-2B threads to accept readily available straight thread fittings. Two case drain ports threaded 0.750-16 UNF-2B give return paths for housing leakage and help maintain low case pressure. Permissible inlet pressure is limited to 1.0 bar so upstream plumbing must keep suction losses small. The shaft can turn up to 1800 revolutions per minute, the maximum speed rating for anti-wear oil service. Under those conditions the input power requirement reaches 29.4 kW, informing motor sizing. Operation is allowed between ambient temperatures of −20 °C and +70 °C, covering typical mobile and stationary installations. Fluid cleanliness must stay within NAS 20/18/14 (ISO 18/14) to prevent premature wear of internal pistons and bearing surfaces. These combined limits ensure reliable service life when the pump is integrated into closed-loop hydraulic systems.
