The PVB15 LSY 41 CM 12 pump is produced by Vickers as part of the PVB Piston Pumps series and is intended to supply controlled hydraulic flow in factory automation. Its geometric displacement is 33.00 cm³ per revolution, establishing the basic volume moved each shaft turn. At 1800 r/min the unit delivers 59.4 L/min, providing the flow needed for medium-duty actuator circuits. The maximum shaft speed is 1800 r/min, which caps rotational load on bearings and drive couplings. Input power is limited to 29.4 kW, so the prime mover must not exceed that demand. The shaft end turns anticlockwise, a detail required for correct motor orientation. An SAE mounting flange allows direct connection to standard engines or electric motors. Because the displacement zone is on one side of center, the pump supplies flow in a single direction and simplifies porting layouts.


The pump tolerates a maximum outlet pressure of 140 bar, making it suitable for presses, clamps, and mobile functions in the medium-pressure range. A compensator setting up to 100 bar lets designers limit system pressure to protect valves and hoses. Mineral oil can reach 80 °C without harming internal seals, while water-based fluids must stay above 10 °C to avoid viscosity problems. Ambient air may fall to −20 °C or rise to 70 °C, so the housing withstands cold starts and warm plant rooms. These temperature limits guide the choice of heaters, coolers, and reservoir breathers. Collectively, the pressure ratings, thermal ranges, and adjustable compensator determine safe operating envelopes for continuous hydraulic automation.
