The PVB-041-2 pump is produced by Vickers within the PVB Piston Pumps series for use in automated hydraulic circuits. It employs a piston pumping element with a single acting reciprocating design so fluid is pressurized on one stroke and recharged on the return. Seven cylinders distribute the load evenly around the center drive to maintain smooth flow. The assembly turns clockwise at rated speeds up to 5000 rpm, allowing high power density in compact packages. Power is transferred through a splined involute external drive shaft that mates with a rigid coupled connection to avoid misalignment. The control hardware is positioned at the center of the unit, which simplifies actuator linkage and reduces the overall envelope.
It mounts on a base, so the housing can be secured directly to machine frames without additional brackets. Fluid enters through a 1-5/16-12 UN internal threaded intake port, and exits through a 9/16-18 UNF internal threaded discharge port for compatibility with standard hydraulic fittings. The pump is designed for continuous discharge pressures up to 1500 psig, meeting moderate-pressure system requirements. It handles hydrocarbon fuels and oils, allowing shared reservoirs with common industrial fluids. Pressure compensation volume control automatically trims piston stroke to hold the set outlet pressure and minimize energy loss. These connection, pressure, and control features complete the specification set for integration into closed-loop or open-loop hydraulic drives.
