The XT032B21 valve belongs to the Pressure Control Valves series produced by Vickers and serves as a pressure reducing element for hydraulic automation, keeping downstream circuits at a controlled level. It is supplied as a line-mount unit, so it installs directly in the pipework rather than on a manifold. A nominal size of 03 and a port size of 3/8 in match compact power units and medium flow headers. At the 2B setting the valve passes up to 26 L/min (6.7 gpm), delivering steady response within its rated flow band. Maximum supply pressure is 210 bar (3000 psi), while the adjustable outlet can be set as high as 140 bar (2000 psi) to suit branch circuits. When low pressure is required, the outlet can be reduced to 5.25 bar (76 psi), allowing sensitive tooling or pilot lines to operate safely.
For proper function the inlet must stay at least 10 bar (150 psi) above the desired reduced pressure, and the drain connection must not exceed 1.7 bar (25 psi) to prevent spool imbalance. The valve contains no integral check valve, so reverse flow requires an external device if needed. It works with petroleum-based hydraulic oil or water-glycol fluids, provided fluid temperature does not exceed 80 °C (176 °F). Ambient operating limits range from −20 °C (−4 °F) to 70 °C (158 °F), covering most mobile and industrial installations. System cleanliness should be maintained at ISO 19/17/14 or cleaner to avoid wear and sticking of internal parts. These conditions ensure stable pressure control throughout the valve’s service life.
