The XG2V8FW10 valve is manufactured by Vickers for the Pressure Control Valves series and is used to maintain controlled pressure levels in hydraulic automation loops. A screw and locknut adjustment lets technicians set the desired outlet value without disturbing panel layout. The valve tolerates a maximum inlet pressure of 350 bar and trims this supply to any point between 5 bar and 210 bar, matching actuator requirements. At a 12 bar differential it delivers a rated flow of 300 L/min, supporting high-volume circuits. Oil is introduced through port B and leaves through port A, and no reverse flow check is provided, so reverse direction must be handled elsewhere. The body attaches to manifolds that follow the ISO 5781 pattern, enabling direct mounting without adapter blocks.
The unit works in ambient temperatures from –20 °C to 70 °C, allowing operation in mobile equipment yards and warm factory cells alike. System fluid must reach a cleanliness of ISO 4406 class 19/17/14 to protect the spool lands and sealing edges. Pilot drainage is modest, measuring 1.0 L/min when the reduced pressure is 100 bar and rising to 1.3 L/min at 300 bar, which limits wasted flow while maintaining stability. The drain exits through port Y, and that connection is restricted to 2 bar, so it should be routed to an unpressurized return. For installation accuracy the housing uses the AH-08-2-A mounting face, ensuring passage alignment and gasket compression in multi-station blocks.
