The RT10D230 valve is manufactured by Vickers for the Pressure Control Valves series and serves to limit and stabilize pressure in hydraulic automation systems. Pilot-operated actuation allows the main spool to follow a small control pilot signal, giving consistent relief performance with minimal pressure rise. A two-stage internal layout combines a low-flow pilot section with a high-capacity main section to balance responsiveness and flow handling. The unit is built in Size 10 format, and the 1-1/4 in NPT pipe mount lets it thread directly into line plumbing without a subplate. It tolerates a maximum operating pressure of 3000 psi, enabling use on high-pressure circuits, and supports up to 75 gpm so cylinders and motors receive unrestricted return flow when pressure exceeds the set point. The valve works with petroleum oils, and a fluid cleanliness level of 19/17/14 must be maintained to protect the pilot passages and main seat.
The permitted temperature span from ‑4 °F to 158 °F allows the RT10D230 to perform in cold-start conditions and normal plant operating heat. Nitrile seals are fitted to withstand this temperature range while remaining compatible with petroleum-based fluids. Physical dimensions are contained within an overall length of 117.6 mm, a width of 108 mm, and a height of 282.2 mm, letting the valve fit inside compact manifolds or inline brackets. Because no check valve is included, reverse flow must be handled by external components when circuit design demands it.
