The RCT06B110 valve belongs to the Pressure Control Valves series from Vickers and is applied in hydraulic automation to smooth pressure transitions and protect downstream components. It is a direct-operated hydro-cushion pressure control unit that keeps the circuit closed by means of a normally closed spool until set pressure is reached. Maximum operating pressure is 2000 psi, enabling use in medium-pressure lines without external piloting. An integral check valve gives reverse free flow so return oil can bypass the control stage when needed. Threaded connections with a 3/4 in female pipe thread simplify installation in manifolds or inline housings.
The valve uses an internal drain, which eliminates extra plumbing and keeps mounting compact. Vickers specifies high-quality lubricating oil as the operating fluid, and optimum control is achieved when viscosity remains between 100 and 250 SSU at 100 °F. System cleanliness must be maintained at ISO 20/18/15 to protect internal surfaces from abrasive contamination. These fluid requirements allow the hydro-cushion mechanism to meter flow smoothly while preventing cavitation and seal degradation. Because the draining path shares the main body, installation needs only the primary pressure line, reducing envelope size in crowded power units. This configuration lets the RCT06B110 stabilize pressure transitions and cushion actuator motion without requiring auxiliary pilot circuits.
