The CT10F20 valve is produced by Vickers for the Pressure Control Valves series and serves as a relief element that limits hydraulic pressure in automated circuits. This balanced piston relief design reacts quickly to rising line pressure and shifts to bypass excess flow, preventing component damage. A nominal port size of 1.25 in supports moderate flow rates while keeping velocity within accepted limits. NPTF pipe threads on the ports create a tight, dry-seal connection that resists leakage without thread sealant. The assembly can be set as high as 3000 psi so mobile or industrial systems can operate near that ceiling with an adequate safety margin.

No external drain path is provided, so pilot flow returns through the main outlet and simplifies plumbing in compact manifolds. Pressure range code F identifies the spring stack selected for mid-range settings, making field adjustment quicker because only the screw position changes. The standard vent option routes pilot pressure through an internal gallery that can be opened or blocked by a remote valve, allowing system designers to unload the pump on demand. Vickers recommends oil cleanliness to ISO 18/15 so the narrow clearances around the piston and seat remain free of silt that could erode sealing edges or cause chatter.
