The CG10B20 pressure relief valve is manufactured by Vickers for the Pressure Control Valves series. This size 10, two-stage unit uses a balanced piston to protect hydraulic circuits by diverting excess pressure. It is subplate or manifold mounted, allowing placement close to the pump in automated systems. Pressure is set with a screw and locknut so technicians can adjust and secure the value on site. The valve withstands system pressures up to 3000 psi (210 bar) and accommodates flows to 120 gpm (454 l/min) with limited pressure loss. Petroleum oils are specified as the compatible fluid for consistent operation and material compatibility.
Relief performance can be tuned between 125 psi and 1000 psi, providing a broad control range for auxiliary branches and pilot circuits. Nitrile seals contain the working fluid and resist wear during frequent cycling. The valve operates from −4 °F (−20 °C) to 176 °F (80 °C), covering unheated starts and moderate oil heating in service. Maintaining oil cleanliness at ISO 4406 19/17/14 limits contamination and helps preserve internal surfaces. These parameters together ensure stable, repeatable pressure control in hydraulic automation applications.
