The PF24-3906-20BCE2 pump is built by Vickers and is part of the Piston Pumps series for hydraulic automation duties. Its piston pumping element produces positive displacement that supports accurate flow regulation. The single-acting reciprocating design pressurizes fluid during one direction of travel, reducing mechanical complexity. Because the stroke is fixed, output varies only with drive speed, simplifying control strategies. Under rated conditions the unit supplies a maximum flow of 1.1 GPM to servos or compact cylinders. The outlet can be loaded to 3000 psi, meeting requirements for medium-pressure hydraulic systems. Continuous service is permitted at 6060 rpm, allowing direct coupling to high-speed electric motors. Hydrocarbon fuels and oils are approved media, so the pump fits lubrication, fuel, or conventional hydraulic loops. Clockwise and counterclockwise rotation capability eliminates orientation constraints during installation.
Power is delivered through a spur gear connection that meshes directly with the driving geartrain. Torque is carried by a splined straight external shaft, preventing slippage under fluctuating load. The shaft end measures 0.687 in in diameter and extends 1.125 in, dimensions that dictate coupling and seal selection. A housing angle of 20 degrees sets the internal component alignment and helps clear adjacent hardware. Fluid enters through an intake port threaded 0.500-20 UNF, giving compatibility with standard hydraulic adapters. The discharge port shares the same 0.500-20 UNF thread, which keeps inlet and outlet fittings uniform. Excess lubrication returns to the reservoir via a 0.375-24 NF-3B case drain, protecting seals from back pressure.
